Gulp x Ildar Wafin - Şüräle Short Film
Şüräle Short Film by Gulp – Breathtaking natural elements with a youthful vision that represents the modern day jewelry
Gulp is a Helsinki based production company consisting of talented creatives that each have their own area of expertise in the creative field, especially film production. These professionals are redefining the film scene with their unique way of interpreting the world and different phenomena around us. We are proud to present the Şüräle film that conveys the raw emotions and beauty of the mystical Finnish nature.
Mitro Boahene, the director of the film, who has an extensive cataloque of working with prestigious clients instantly had a strong insight for the Şüräle project. After being introduced to the jewelry of Ildar Wafin, Boahene and Tuomas Nurmi, the Cinematographer for the film worked rigorously on achieving the vision for the final outcome.
The awe inspiring pictures are the works of the talented photographer Karim Awad. Awad joined our expedition in the challenging terrains during the shooting of the film and delivered an assortment of captivating photographs shot both on film and digital.
The melismatic vocals and composition in the song Su Buylap are arranged by the Singer, Songwriter Shirin Nisametdin who is currently working and studying in London. Nisametdin created the song in her native Finnish Tatar language that Ildar Wafin also speaks. Su buylap is an ancient Tatar folk song that Nisametdin re-imagined in her own style. Using her resonating voice as an instrument and building the song in different layers and tones makes the song a sensual and enchanting listen.

The location in the heart of Sipoo's nature reserve with its sculptural cliffs and mystical forests turned out to be the perfect spot for the shooting of our short film. Captivating the feeling of roaming in the nature and pairing it with our hand formed jewelry was a rewarding experience. The raw essence found in the distinctive Finnish nature is a treasure we strongly value.
